I have had a front load washer for four years and have never used special detergent and have had no issues, but my Mom just bought a front load and they said that she needed to buy ';special'; detergent. Is there any truth in that?Does front load washers need special detergent or is that just a myth?
Although most newer front loaders suggest to use only ';HE'; high efficiency detergent, I believe that if one uses less of the regular detergent one can get similar result.
';HE'; detergent is low sudsing and will help your machine perform better, but I still think if one can control themselves, using less of a regular detergent will prolly work. I use regular detergent when I go to the laundromat to use their front loaders and have never had an issue with too many suds.Does front load washers need special detergent or is that just a myth?
I have used both types of laundry soap for my front load washer. The HE kind and regular kind.
The HE type is low suds and will work best
The regular soap makes alot of suds and will come out the front of the doors if you add too much.
That happened to my friend who used regular soap and bubbles came out everywhere !
I think you can purchase what you want !
Just beware if your mom uses too much of the regular soap she has a chance of bubbles coming out the front door !
I too have a front load washer and find it difficult to find special detergents for it. I have simply used very little of my regular detergent and have no problems. I believe it is all about how much suds the detergent creates. Front loaders can not handle high sudsing detergents. I probably use 1/4 of what I used in my top loader - it seems to work fine.
yes you have to by front loader washing powder, because , iv got one my self , , i hate it , an i wont bye a washing machine with a front loader againe , mine dose not wash good ,
That's not true
High efficiency washers need special HE detergent though, her new washer may be one of those.
Tell her to take a look at the manual and read what it suggests.
