I'm selling my washer and dryer if I have to ship it where can I find shipping costs lists ,also this delivery will be within the USHow much are shipping costs for washers and dryers?
The shipping costs will probably be more than what the washer and dryer are worth. You will only be shipping one time so you will not get a discount like companies that ship a lot do. You probably don't have a forklift and the person on the receiving end probably does not either, so it will have to be picked up and delivered on a truck with a lift gate. These things add to the cost considerably. Also, you will have to package them on skids. If you want to get some kind of idea, have a look at http://www.dnafreight.com/freight-quote.鈥?/a> I have not used this service before, just saw it advertised.
A better option might be to try to sell to someone that can pick the item up or arrange for shipping locally only. You might be able to find a local shipper in the yellow pages (check under moving companies and/or freight) that could help you out. A local shipper will be much cheaper because the items will probably be picked up and delivered on the same truck and lift gate service is usually standard for this type of company instead of an added cost. Also, you might not have to place the items on skids -- definitely not if you use a local moving company.
