You don't say that you've checked that the washer is properly topped up with fluid- not just water but proper washing fluid. It seems obvious that you have, but it would be nice if people explaied their situation clearly and didn't expect assumptions.
Right- two things to try-
Look at the nozzles on the bonnet. Is there any gunk in them? If so try using a sewing pin or needle to unblock them.
When you use the washers on most cars, the pump makes a noise that can ve heard. Do you hear the buzz of the motor when you push the washer button. A sort of high pitched whine? If so it's not the fuse.
The only way to eliminate the fuse really is to replace it.Why are my windscreen washers not working?
Turn on the key and have someone push the button while you listen next to the electric motor for the washer. If you hear nothing and the bottle isn't frozen it might be either the fuse or the motor itself. If you hear the motor and nothing comes out it might be clogged lines - or frozen as you said. You can use a hair dryer to heat the lines without putting more water all over the place which might freeze and cause more problems.The alcohol suggestion from above is good if you put plain water in the tank.Make sure to get the washer fluid that has at least a -20 degree mark on it. The lower the better.
if its frozen youll just have to wait till they unfreeze themselves! drive round for a bit or just leave the engine running to warm up, if it still doesnt work it maybe the motor, they are only about 拢20 to get a new one from citroen, or if the pipes have frozen i may have split one of the pipes, id check fo a leak if you can see one anywhere if it STILL doesnt work then im stumped!
too cold.. winshield washer fluid froze....get the pink-orange one... ....for next time
for now... go to walgreen, buy a bottle of medicinal alcohool and pour it into the washer tank. (1dollar here)...if is not too cold might just unfreeze the line from tank to the wipers...if does not work u might use hot water to pour over wipers to melt down the ice.(not boiled).. than use out the washer fluid at least half .. mix the rest with the orange pink one....or alcohool
dont use washing up liquid in the washer bottle as this will block the jets. If this is the case unblock using sowing needle or similar and top up with good qulity screen wash
PUT ALCOHOL IN TO CONTAINER WINDSHELL
They shouldn't freeze if you have washer fluid in there. They could be blocked. Try pushing a pin down the tub.
im just asking the washer bottles aren't empty are they as mine was the other day
might be your pump motor or blocked pipes or nipples.
