What is the best HE detergent for front loading washers and are HE detergents really necessary?

I have purchaed a front loading washer and have a lot of regular soap to use. Is this going to be a problem. What is the best HE detergent for front loading washers and are HE detergents really necessary?
I wouldn't think so. I'm suppose to use HE in my washer but don't. The best HE detergent, in my opinion, would be TIDE.What is the best HE detergent for front loading washers and are HE detergents really necessary?
I use Tide HE detergent, which works well. As far as I know, it is important to use the HE detergents, or else there will be too many suds.
Tide or Gain and you really need to use HE with a front loader OR cut way back on the amount. Front loaders are especially sensitive to too many suds. They don't need as much as top loaders.
i have an he washer the best is tide he,but it is not nessasary,i use regular tide all the time in it and it cleans just as good
I personaly would not use the regular laundry soap in my front loader but if I did i would only use 1/3 of what I would use normally in a top loader. These front loader washing machines are built to be very efficient. They use less soap to wash and create suds. The HE soaps are designed in the correct concetration for these machines.
I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL DUET FRONT LOADER AND I FOUND THAT TIDE HE WORKS VERY WELL. IT HAS THE LOWEST SUDS. IF YOU USE YOUR REGULAR SOAP IT WILL CAUSE A LONGER WASH TIME DUE TO THE LARGE AMOUNT OF SUDS AND OVER TIME COULD DAMAGE YOUR WASHER. I USE MY REGULAR SOAP AS A CARWASH SOLUTION.
