What is the best laundry detergent to use for high efficiency washers?

I like washing in cold water but have been unable to find Tide ColdWater in HE anywhere. Is there another brand that I can use?What is the best laundry detergent to use for high efficiency washers?
I support gar_fanatic's suggestion. Method's laundry soap works in HE washers. I do most of my laundry in cold water. Method products have a low impact on the environment AND they smell good.What is the best laundry detergent to use for high efficiency washers?
Ive heard that the only difference between regular laundry detergent and HE detergent is that the HE stuff is less concentrated. therefore, if you buy the regular tide cold water detergent and use less of it, you will be saving money and not being duped by marketing!! good luck.
you can use regular detergent but only use about 1 tbs for the load . It has to do with the water/ detergent ratio HE doesn't make as many suds as the normal and if you use a small amount it won't ruin the pump.
for me the best detergent is oxy clean it scientifically works and if they say it on tv it cant be a lie due to some laws so the best deal you see is probably the best . It worked for me!

I like Tide HE, but I have also found that Purex HE works very well. I buy both in liquid, not powder, liquid works much better in cold water.
There is ULTRA SUNLIGHT detergent.
