You don't need to switch to a powder one...in fact, I've never seen a powder one for front loaders. It will usually say on the package if it is for front loaders, or it will say 'HE'. (High Efficiency)What kind of detergent for front loading washers?
You need to use HE detergent in a front load washer. HE detergents are available in either liquid or powder. They are specially formulated to work better with less water, less suds and residue and rinse better. Regular detergents over time will cause residue buildup on your clothes and the inside of the machine.
nope
Use any detergent that is made for HE washers. If you use regular detergent it will create too many suds and not rinse as well. It can also cause your machine to go into ';suds lock'; and not drain properly until some of the suds disappear.
HE detergent is available with the regular detergent at most grocery stores/big box stores. It costs a little more per bottle, but you don't have to use near as much. I know I only use 2 Tablespoons in my big front loader and my clothes still come out clean.
well liquid does come in he and it just runs from the drawer to the machine anyway so theres no harm. well in the uk like scotland england etc we have dosing balls for liquid which you pour the liquid into a little ball and put it in with the clothes a bit like the downy ball. but powder i think is better. if you cant find any well top loading stuff will work just as ok but it might foam up a bit more
